Hi, I'm Sylvie
I’m deeply curious about what it means to be human and what it takes to feel genuinely connected—to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us. This curiosity has been my lifelong companion, driving my exploration of the inner world and its richly layered landscapes.
In my work, I guide others to expand beyond either-or thinking, embracing the full spectrum of human experience with openness, depth, and a touch of playfulness. Grounded yet light-hearted, I blend deep listening with intuition, attuning to both what is spoken and unspoken.

Background
01
Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP)
For six years and counting, I’ve had the privilege of working one-on-one with clients and facilitating transformational group experiences. My approach is deeply rooted in Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP), a model that bridges body and mind, emphasizing somatic awareness and resource-oriented practices. IBP serves as my foundation, a home base from which I continually enrich my coaching practice, integrating approaches that inspire me.
02
Circle Facilitation
As a HeartIQ certified circle facilitator, I bring extensive experience in group dynamics, creating spaces where participants feel safe, valued, and genuinely connected. By guiding groups in developing emotional intelligence and shared resonance, I help cultivate both personal growth and meaningful group experiences.
03
Embodiment
Dance, movement, and mindfulness have been lifelong grounding practices for me. As both a student and teacher of yoga, these embodied practices allow me to connect deeply with my body and explore my inner landscape. Movement unlocks insights beyond words, and I draw on this wisdom in my work with clients.
04
Academic Background in Political Science and International Relations
My academic studies have deeply shaped my perspective, allowing me to hold complex truths and embrace diverse narratives. This background reinforces my understanding that no single theory captures the entirety of truth, adding depth to my work, especially with clients navigating conflicts and complex issues.
05
Teaching & Collaborations
I am actively involved in training the next generation of coaches at the Institute for Integrative Body-Psychotherapy (IBP) in Switzerland, where I help shape future practitioners with a focus on integrative, body-centered approaches. I also collaborate with Heart IQ on transformative training events and retreats, specializing in group dynamics and circle facilitation to foster spaces of authentic connection and emotional intelligence. Additionally, I contribute to FEM—Female Empowerment through Movement, a collaborative platform that champions community and connection as foundational elements of empowerment.
Exploring diverse spaces
My bicultural background has taught me to navigate different worlds, revealing the richness in multiple perspectives. I see my life as shaped by diverse communities—or ‘bubbles’—each offering unique gifts and deepening my understanding of our shared humanity. Here are a few of the bubbles that have shaped me:
Travel and Exploration
When I travel I look for a sense of home wherever I go. Meeting new people and places with curiosity and seeing sameness beyond the apparent differences.
Yoga
Yoga has been my anchor, especially in times of deep transformation. Since beginning my teaching journey in 2014, yoga has provided me with a profound pathway to self-discovery and grounding.
Dual Heritage
As a light-skinned woman with a Black mother and a white father, my perspective on the world is shaped by questions of belonging, identity, and navigating spaces in between. These experiences inform my work with a deep sensitivity to complexity and inclusivity.
Social Dance
Social dances like Kizomba, Forró, and Salsa are a wonderful playground for embodied connection. For many years I taught workshops for dancers, using Acro-Yoga techniques to deepen nonverbal communication and the art of deep listening.
Queer Spaces and Liberation
Queer communities are teaching me about liberation and self-expression beyond binaries. I strive to create spaces that embrace these qualities: acceptance, freedom, and celebration of each person’s uniqueness.
Tantra
Practices like Tantra, Breathwork and De-armoring have helped me explore my own energy and authenticity, insights I bring to my work.
International Development
My first career path was in international development. I worked in Haiti, Brazil and the USA, dipped my toes into international diplomacy and worked as a sustainability consultant.
Anti-Racism and Inclusion
Anti-racism and inclusion have been central to my life from an early age. As a teenager, I co-founded an organization focused on community-building for Black youth, a commitment that continues to shape my trauma-sensitive and inclusive approach. I’m dedicated to creating spaces where each person feels genuinely seen, heard, and valued.
